Erica Palmer Smith

Erica Palmer Smith serves as the Executive Director of NC Child, where she leads the organization’s work in advocating for public policies that ensure every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Smith also serves on the NC Governor’s Task Force on Child Care and Early Education. Before joining NC Child, Smith served as the Executive Director of Care4Carolina, a statewide coalition of more than 150 organizations dedicated to closing the state’s health insurance coverage gap. She also previously served as the Government Relations Director for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network in Kentucky.
